Barcelona-based imprint Vondreib Records readies the long overdue second release, Transonàmbul, from Catalan producer and Hivern Discs regular Priorat. The four tracker is provided with two orginial takes, namely Sonàmbul and Transgènic, coming with a remix for each take. While Sonàmbul is taken care of by Velmonda, it’s Hivern Discs mainstay Marc Piñol who gets his hands on the already dance floor oriented Transgènic and – without being too anticipatory – delivers a remix that is so subtle charming its listeners that one would not realize how deeply you are soaked into Piñol‘s continuous psychedelic musical cosmos until the track lets go. With Acid-ish bleeps taking the lead and intriguing pan-flute like synths as well as ‘water dropping from the stalagmites of a limestone cave’-sounds all alternating throughout the track, Transgènic‘s organic and natural vibe flatters the dark dance floor in the most humble yet decently sophisticated manner and let’s you imagine yourself moving to the bass line in the spheres of cosmic grandeur with closed eyes.
