Swiss producer Night Talk returns to BOg’s electronic music playground Atlant. After releasing his well-received ‘Moran EP’ in September the AYM label head compiled a three tracker by the name of ‘Anamorphosis’ that combines an artsy and futuristic approach to electronic music – if only you take the right perspective to penetrate Night Talk’s work of art. The title track ‘Anamorphosis’ already covers the complex topic the producer raises with the EP, as an anamorphosis is a distorted projection or perspective requiring the viewer to occupy a specific vantage point, use special devices or both to view a recognizable image. And these individual images are evoked by Night Talk’s title track, which comes along with a rolling bass line and catchy chords creating a darkly influenced atmosphere that draws the listener into the dramatically constructed – in reference to a drama play – arrangement of the track. ‘Anamorphosis’ is a complex story told in various and multilayered musical acts with touching breaks and breakdowns perfectly put together – but depending on the perspective you take.
