It’s a late summer tale that Berlin-based DJane and producer Sooma mixed with her latest contribution for Torture the Artist’s art:cast series. Altogether for the third time the multitalented artist delivers a mix that is rich in groove, musical diversity and technically top notch. Her preference for tropical influenced music stretches throughout the mix and goes hand in hand with her ability to combine both, percussions and various melodic harmonies without sounding corny but sophisticated. Sooma counterbalances her track selection so smoothly as if she were a ropedancer walking the thin line and enjoying the adventure that comes with it while the overall groove gives her security. Speaking of the latter, the Berliner has had quite an exciting year since her last art:cast and released several tracks on labels such as Connected, Ouïe and Through My Speakers.
