Few producers seem to be gathering momentum quite like eira haul at the moment. The Berlin-based producer has steadily established a distinctive place within contemporary underground House, with appearances on Gene On Earth’s Limousine Dream among the releases helping his productions travel increasingly far. His latest contribution, “Teak Cut”, lands on Baby Rollén’s Slump Recordings as part of the “Slump Recordings Artists for Palestine EP.”
“Teak Cut” is a groover in constant motion. A rolling, techy bassline establishes the foundation while deep chords hover above, punctuated by scratches and a clipped “yeah” that slips naturally into the rhythm. Yet just as the track seems to have settled into its shape, eira haul shifts the perspective. A different chord progression begins to emerge, tightening the atmosphere and adding another degree of dancefloor pressure without disturbing the groove underneath. It feels less like a traditional build towards a single peak than a track continuously finding new ways to move the same room.
Atmospheric chords eventually wash across the arrangement, briefly opening up the space and giving dancers a moment to breathe before familiar elements begin circling back into view. The deeper chords from the opening return, “say yeah” reappears, and soon the more club-focused progression pushes its way back through once more. It is this constant movement between depth and pressure that makes “Teak Cut” so effective: several distinct stages connected by one uninterrupted groove, each revealing another side of the track without ever breaking its hypnotic flow. Another reminder of why eira haul has become such an in-demand producer right now.
