For the latest edition of absolutely on music, we once again transformed Haus73 into a space where carefully selected records, deep conversations between DJs, and a shared love for underground music took centre stage. Bringing together three selectors with distinct musical identities, the session moved effortlessly through Minimal, House, UK influences, and deeper club territories, offering another snapshot of the philosophy that continues to shape Torture the Artist.
Hamburg’s own Mille opened the afternoon with the kind of confidence and musical sensitivity that have made her one of the city’s most respected selectors. Blending rolling House grooves with subtle Minimal aesthetics, her set established a warm yet forward-moving foundation from the very first record. Rather than chasing obvious moments, she allowed the music to breathe, gradually building momentum while introducing an understated elegance that perfectly suited the intimate surroundings of the stream.
Taking over next, Holger Breuer shifted the focus towards deeper and more percussive territory with a carefully curated vinyl-only selection. Rooted in Minimal, Deep House, and Tech House, his set unfolded patiently through rolling grooves, hypnotic rhythms, and subtle melodic touches, creating a natural progression from DJ Mille’s opening hour. Rather than relying on dramatic peaks, Holger let the records tell their own story, building momentum through carefully considered transitions and an instinctive sense of flow that has become synonymous with his approach behind the decks.
Closing the afternoon, ICTV—one half of the acclaimed duo Horsemen and a key figure behind Off Hours—took the journey into more adventurous territory. His selection effortlessly blended stripped-back House and Minimal with UK-influenced rhythms, broken grooves, always maintaining a deep, hypnotic pulse. The set constantly shifted between subtle tension and release, demonstrating an impressive understanding of dynamics while remaining firmly connected to the dancefloor. It was an expressive closing chapter that perfectly rounded off another memorable edition of absolutely on music.
