Portugal-based producer Velvet Velour has quite an impressive musical output on labels such as Butter Side Up, Nuances de Nuit, Welt Discos or Small Hours. Now the artist contributes a six-tracker to Truly Madly’s renowned imprint MINDHELMET, a mixture of House with a deeper and minimalistic twist, nuances of Breaks and UKG and heavy basslines. As on previous outings Velvet Velour brilliantly masters the balance of creating basslines with catchy synth-sound sequences as he implements the latter perfectly clocked in his tracks, so that the tracks’ frame smoothly goes over into something special. The before mentioned can strongly be witnessed on the B2, called Wave Wizard as Wave Wizard rightly stands for the moments the Wizard, Velvet Velour, creates when letting the chords flow over that carrying bassline.
