Hailing from the city of Dublin it’s Fio Fa who is responsible for Pear’s next release, his altogether third on the label after two EPs in 2018 respectively 2019. The three tracker U Drink, U Pay seemingly covers proggy as well as Garag-y influences and represents the artist potpourri of styles, which Fio skill- and smoothly brings together on the EP. Having made a name for himself in the scene with further productions on Duality Trax, Radiant Love and two EPs on Fungie, both out last year, Fio Fa continues to ride the wave of putting out quality releases. The B1 of his U Drink, U Pay EP, namely Turizmo is a melodic 2-Step take that smoothly paves its way through varied chords, which are enriched with spare spoken and sung vocals and further little elements like ring tones that support the overall smooth vibe of the track. Still playing Turizmo at the right time can surely speed and heat up the atmosphere and floors likewise. With its energetic and – typically for 2-Step tracks – partly broken bass line Turizmo by all means has the ability to win the race.
