Round about one year ago Atelier released their debut album Varsam Court on the Mathias Schober and Thomas Herb run label Lossless. Now a first selection of tracks from the album gets the remix treatment from label affiliates, befriended or scene renowned and respected artists. Among them is Lisbon-based and Lux Fragil-poster boy Switchdance, who adds his signature sound to Atelier’s Stages and takes us musically through the latter. In his typical downtempo and selection of hypnotic chords Switchdance integrates the original vocals in the same style, so they support the possessive virtue of the melodic-side of the track. A pinch of Acid, rather subtle bleeps, add another charming nuance to Marco Antāo’s, Switchdance’s real name, approach.
