Nine and a half months ago Permanent Vacation co-label founder Benjamin Fröhlich released his nine tracker Amiata, music to ease your mind or to drift away on the dance floor and around. The first set of remixes for Fröhlich’s album was due in summer of 2019 and featured new approaches from the likes of Massimiliano Pagliara, Panthera Krause, Cornelius Doctor, Jex Opolis and Rhode & Brown and delivered solid material for as many occasions as the original takes did. Now Pemanent Vacation respectively Benjamin Fröhlich rings in the second round of remixes for Amiata having some of the most in-demand artists of the electronic music scene on board to give his tunes a second glance, even though it’s not needed at a quality level. However, Fröhlich gathered artists like Fort Romeau, Chloé, Yør Kultura, Tom Bioly alias TB and Marcus Worgull together. The latter took on remix duties for Last Night feat. vocals from Dreamcast and turns the smooth and dreamy orginal into a more forwardly going track still capturing these sentimental moments Dreamcast and Benjamin created by generating a felicitos symbiosis between vocals and chords as well pads. Marcus simply added slightly more drive to the track by focusing on a more lush bass line and implementing different yet appealing chords that go into a strongly influenced melo-direction, or in other words it adds authentic the Worgull-vibe to it.
Benjamin Fröhlich’s EP Amiata Remixes 2 will be released on Permanent Vacation on February 21st, 2020.
