From the southern tip of Italy Mauro di Martino, better known under his Musumeci moniker, delivers one of the tracks of the summer 2019. His ‘supernatural’ remix for African musicians Emmanuel Jal and Nyaruach‘s track ‘Ti Chuong’ on MoBlack Records brims with energy and in addition to it creates a new electronic music sub-genre, ‘New Afro Disco’. By far Mauro’s remix approach touches various styles – the key elements can be broken down to a funky bass line topped off with disco-chords that highlight the African vocals from Emmanuel Jal and Nyaruach. So far the wrap-up. But what’s not included in the latter is the way Musumeci puts these elements together, namely gently as if the single soundscapes stroke to then are closely linked to each other and generate a harmonny that forms the most versatile track. No wonder this supernatural remix has attracted the attention from various renowned artists already and has been supported by Innervision label-heads Dixon and Âme.
