Amsterdam based label Karakter Records returns with its 8th installment, which marks the first release from label-head Pedro Martins on the label. The four tracker ‘Nova Lisboa’, today’s Huambo in Angola, not only hints to the producer’s geographical family roots but also highlights his musical approach to former times. A deep growling bass that is omnipresent throughout the track is enriched with diverse bleeps and pads that add a driving yet mysterious vibe to the track. ‘Nova Lisboa’ tells Pedro’s family story with a depth that can be found in both: the background information on the track as well as the chosen elements to arrange it.
