Parisian producer Abou Naïm (Nils) inaugurates his freshly launched imprint, Abou Naïm Records, with “All Or Nothing” – a statement rooted in the playful intersection of House and Hip Hop. Built around a rolling 129 BPM framework, the track channels the spirit of classic HipHouse through carefully placed vocal samples and an unmistakable sense of groove.
Rather than relying on excess, “All Or Nothing” thrives on restraint. Punchy drums, a warm and driving low end, and spacious arrangements allow the sampled elements to breathe, creating a hypnotic flow that steadily pulls dancers deeper into its orbit. The balance between rhythmic precision and raw energy gives the production an effortless, old-school (HipHop)character.
As a first release, “Niceness” sets a clear tone for Abou Naïm Records: club music that values groove, personality, and timeless HipHop-influences over fleeting trends. If this is the foundation Nils is building upon, the future of the label looks very promising indeed.
