Australian electronic music wizard Andrew Wilson alias Andras returns to Public Possession with a two tracker, Scopes/ Scallops, that’s meant to cause some waves amongst House heads and lovers of the art. Having released on labels such as Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space or Dopeness Galore, Wilson now comes back to the Munich-based label collective, after making debuting on Public Possession with his Boom Boom EP in 2019. The B-side, Scallops, contains everything a proper (House) club tune needs in order to make masses move. Melodically catchy chords underline the artist’s skills to create an almost summer-ish approach to the genre that’s accompanied by a lush bass line and sharp hi-hats as well as an easiness despite its general ground speed. The 90’s influence of the dreamy (chord) hook line is inevitable, however Andras manages to revisit it in a neat manner to make it sound like the start of a new golden era of the music.
Andras’ single Scopes / Scallops will be released on Public Possession on March 5th, 2021.
