It was back in 2010 when Polish artists Grzegorz Demiañczuk and Wojciech Tarañczuk founded PETS Recordings, the same year when the duo’s sophomore album Escape from Zoo was released – not on the newly founded imprint though. It took another three years then until Grzegorz and Wojciech, commonly known under Catz ‘n Dogz and former underground act 3 Channels, put their first EP with Eats Everything out on the label. However, with PETS Recordings the artists have always followed a balanced selection of releasing music from aspiring and renowned artists, from local acts to global players, from Deep House to Techno but always meaningful and foremost beautiful music. For the label’s 10th anniversary the duo compiled a 12-track strong various artist compilation coming in three parts and portraying the label’s past years musically and hosting tracks from affiliates like Bawrut, Jeigo, Das Komplex, KiNK, Catz ‘n Dogz themselves and Studio Barnhus label head Axel Boman. The Stockholmer contributes his take Pink Mist, a rather deep musical approach to the collection. An intriguing chord-sequence underlaid with organs and stalactite sounds as well as sparely used but thus even more catchy spoken vocals Boman creates a track that not only finds a home on the compilation but will do in many DJ playlists as it combines a decent groove with deep melodies that taint one’s mind like only love can and therefore hits close to every music lover’s heart.
