French producer and DJ Antoine Sy continues to shape the underground with his multi-faceted output, splitting his time between running ANTAM Records with Bassam and co-piloting BinarySound/ Arpanet while steadily refining his craft in the studio. Known for his ability to blur lines between Electro, House, and dubby extensions of both, Antoine’s latest works showcase why his name keeps surfacing in conversations about France’s new school of forward-thinking selectors and producers.
On ANTAM’s eleventh release, the various artist EP “Dessert From The Milky Way“, Antoine Sy drops “Disco Computer”, a playful yet razor-sharp cut that perfectly embodies its title. Fusing Electro edges with Disco-inspired nuances, the track simmers with computerised textures and robotic voices while sneaking in a few vocal snippets and French House-leaning flourishes. The result is hypnotic, functional, and charmingly off-kilter – a modern nod to the timeless interplay between man, machine, and groove.
Meanwhile, over on Arpanet, Antoine Sy takes on Caligari’s cult 2005 track “Blue Shit” with his Mystery Remix for the “Ringo The Star EP“. Where the original sits in the oddball space between Electro and Italo, Antoine reframes it with a dub-driven, atmospheric touch. Pulsing low-end, eerie effects, and a spooky overall feel turn the remix into a contemporary weapon, proof of how Antoine Sy can honor the quirks of the past while injecting his own sonic DNA.
Together, these two outings underline Antoine Sy’s ability to pivot between playful, floor-filling futurism and moody, dub-soaked reinterpretations – always keeping one foot in the club and the other in experimentation. ANTAM, BinarySound, or his solo productions: Antoine Sy continues to prove he’s one of the most compelling voices in France’s underground right now.
