After a buzzing debut earlier this year, eDEMi returned to Haus73 for its second edition, once again proving why this series has quickly become a staple for Hamburg’s underground. The evening began in intimate fashion with a livestream session, giving listeners near and far the chance to experience the artists’ unique energies before the main event took over the dancefloor later that night.
Headlining the livestream were Horsemen, the Berlin–Amsterdam duo whose rise in 2024 has been nothing short of impressive. With standout releases on Dungeon Meat and SLABS, their sets are a forward-thinking blend of 90s House spirit, early Tech-House grit, and UK Garage swing – a mix that has gained the support of heavyweights like Laurent Garnier, Chez Damier, Cinthie, and Black Loops. Their two appearances on this night, first for the cameras and later for the crowd, showed both their versatility and their deep connection to the dancefloor.
Opening the stream was Holger Breuer, founder of Torture the Artist and the creative force behind absolutely on music. With a selection that travels effortlessly through House, Deep House, Minimal, Breaks, and beyond, Holger set the tone with a set that balanced groove and storytelling. Beyond his skills behind the decks, his vision has shaped Torture the Artist into a cultural platform – one that highlights artists, labels, and movements through in-depth features, premieres, and this very livestream series.
Closing out the broadcast was Lukas Urbaum, long-time collaborator and co-architect of absolutely on music. Known for his refined taste and collector’s ear, Lukas crafted a warm and textured journey, weaving dusty House cuts with quirky minimal touches and subtle nods to Hip-Hop’s rhythmic aesthetics. His understated yet impactful style rounded off the livestream perfectly before the night transitioned into its second chapter on the dancefloor.
From the cozy setting of Haus73, the livestream captured not just music but the spirit of community – offering a window into a night where dedication to sound, culture, and connection defined every moment.
Revisit the sets above and relive the energy of Torture the Artist pres. eDEMi – live, on stream, and straight from Hamburg’s underground.
