REVIEW B From E ‘Amnesia’ [Haŵs]

B From E, the elusive artisan hailing from Denmark, has garnered attention and stirred the revelry throughout the European musical landscape. His performances, marked by an amorphous demeanor, unfold across the continent, weaving a narrative through all-encompassing sets and a soundtrack steeped in the ethos of raves. This Danish virtuoso has discovered his sonic sanctuary by delving into the depths of 90s Garage and Breaks, infusing his own compositions with an erudite and crystalline inspiration.

The opus titled Amnesia epitomizes his latest musical trajectory on the Haŵs label, seamlessly interweaving the threads of Acid debauchery and classic beats within a groove-laden prism. B From E invites listeners to forsake thoughts of the future and immerse themselves in the sacred realms of the past.

The titular track, Amnesia, asserts its dominance from the outset, occupying a nuanced space reminiscent of Gat Decor and Kamaya Painters. The incessant melody undergoes a metamorphic journey, traversing thematic landscapes of melody, Acid, and Trance virtues, encapsulating an unadulterated rave sensibility.

Following suit is the curiously named Ootheca, a downtempo, Acid-driven creation exuding polymorphic vitality. Drawing inspiration from the annals of 90s House, as evidenced by mellifluous chords and arpeggiated keys, the result is a mesmerizing composition that compels a rhythmic nodding of the head.

Third in the lineup is Symetrix, elevating the sonic journey to the sixth gear. The overtly intense arrangement fluctuates, propelled by pulsating percussion and an unabashed bass refrain. This track stands as a testament to B From E’s mastery, skillfully navigating through a dynamic sonic terrain.

Concluding the EP is Prophecy, a profound exploration back into the downtempo realm. Once again, B From E demonstrates an unwavering fidelity to his crystalline 90s influences, weaving a tapestry of breaks majesty that resonates authentically.

Let this musical offering serve as a balm for the soul. In the realms of recollection, nothing we remember ever fades away, and everything forgotten is consigned to oblivion. Amnesia emerges as the guiding light at the terminus of your auditory tunnel, or perhaps, heralding the inception of a new sonic odyssey.
