After a release on theBasement Discos, which was heavily supported by various top-notch DJs, Mexican artist Oscar Levantine makes his debut on Miura Records with Messages From A Star (The Remixes), which comes with several remixes from up- and coming producers. British House-wizard Kellit therefore returns to the label as he took on remix duties for the Levantine’s take and delivers a classy hybrid track, containing elements of (Deep) House and Minimal. Just like followers of the scene and art have got to known Kellit, his remix approach always has one eye if not two eyes on the dance floor creating heavy peak moments with his lush bass lines and his ability to write effective as well addictive synth-lines. In Messages From A Star is no exception and sees the artist squeeze off late 80 or early 90s sounds like the Ghostbusters did in their best times when fighting the Marshmallow Man. Who you gonna call?
