CHIWAX CLASSIC EDITION’s latest releases comes from US House Music producer Dana Lewis Kelly, a Boston native, who graduated from the Boston Latin High School and later on from the Museum of Fine Arts School. The dedicated musician and fashion designer overall released four EPs between 1999 until 2002 all showcasing the artist’s preference for classic House Music. Dana Kelley’s first out of two EPs on Sugardish Recordings called Alpha, the second EP was named Beta, is now re-released as part of the CHIWAX CLASSIC EDITION and post mortem pays tribute to Dana Kelley’s work as the artist unfortunately passed away in 2013. However, Dana Kelley’s music will live forever on the floor and in people’s hearts and rightly so. His first EP Alpha is more than a dedication to House Music it is House Music in its purest form, reminding people of the beauty of the music’s early stages and why tracks from this era stand the test of time. The A2 of the re-issue, House Down, is magic sprinkled in four-four-time. A shuffling bassline combined with deep melo-chords, an acidic note as well as a haunting vocal take the listener on a trip deep down the genre-road – a true classic relevant for the present. This is how music sounded and should sound.
