Eric OS is probably the man of the moment. Having released а string of successful records on respected labels like Limousine Dream, Eya Recordings, Different Times, Dig Dis and his own Space Trace label, it is with no surprise that his latest EP From The Void is out on Haŵs. With his latest EP the Swedish producer showcases how much he’s to offer in terms of musicality as he compiled a four tracker, which is rich in both: style and creativity.
OS starts off the EP with a rather tribal influenced groovy space progger called In Dimension and moves through various ones as the initially descriptions already suggests. In Dimension smoothly fuses synthetic pads, unique effects and a good doze of lysergic madness to come up with a polydimensional track to create latter experiences of the dance floor.
The A2, Windowbreaker, is a more Tech-House oriented take, which though contains classy House pads. The track has a deep yet quirky note as it also skillfully combines the before-mentioned and additionally included flamboyant synth-effects.
The B-side of the EP starts with the title track, an essential spacey House track. From The Void thereby pays attention to nuanced details creating an overall positive morning vibe, still it’s intriguing synth-line and lush bassline makes it more of an energetic morning stomper than a drift-away-track.
Lastly there’s Connexion, a sweet Deep House take with Leftfield sounding pads and effects, which are additionally enriched with an acidic melody. Surely a great way to round this EP off.
Ultimately it is to say that Eric OS combines classic electronic music forms by adding and layering nuanced effects and details to it, but keeping it balanced and not over-produced,, hence he’s preserving his own style and vision.
Eric OS’ From The Void EP is out on Haŵs.
