The 72nd outing on Dam Swindle’s label Heist Recordings comes from House Music’s poster girl and Elevate-founder Cinthie, who delivers three original tracks varying between classic Deep House and (piano driven) House with a slightly Italo-House note or basically genres the Berliner feels home at. Cinthie’s House-potpourri follows the name of Musique for Discotheques and seems to be a homage to the music and the scene the artist has been representing for her entire career, just that the four tracker – legendary Italian producer St. David gives Piano Heaven his own twist – hits close(r) when enjoyed over the summer, whether in a sweaty discotheque or under the blue sky. The original version of Piano Heaven is built upon, in good ole’ Cinthie-style, a 909 bassline. However, it is the track’s infectious key-arrangement, which creates peak time moments on the floor, with the break doing its best to have luscious hands-up-in-the-air episodes. Ultimately Musique for Discotheques is not only another piece in Cinthie’s House-puzzle but the missing piece for 2023 and it has finally arrived.
Cinthie’s EP Musique for Discotheques is out on Heist Recordings.
