‘Here Comes the Rain’ is Guy Gerber’s first release of the year on his record label, Rumors. The label ended the past year on a high note with ‘Secret Encounters’, a track that was charted on Resident Advisor’s Top 100 Tracks of 2016, and they are continuing to aim high.
Both Guy Gerber and Deniz Kurtel are no strangers to the underground electronic music scene, so it is to be expected that after two years of circulation, music lovers are anxious for the release of their most recent single, ‘Here Comes the Rain’.
Gerber masterfully adorns the collaborative track with his comprehensive keyboard skills. The simple, yet effective, ‘perfect’ cadence chord progression creates a feeling of finality throughout the song, making it an ideal closing record. The reverberated, almost muted, echo-like vocals mirror those on his previous single ‘One Day in May’, making it distinctly Gerber. Considering the track’s undeniable beach vibe, the label head is most surely playing this record on all of his sun-filled tours.
