Almost two years after his ‘Devil Den EP’ on Connaisseur Recordings Rancido returns with ‘After Earth EP’ to the label, this time with his affiliate &lez. Both artists have worked on several EPs over the past months and seem to complement each other in the studio. ‘After Earth EP’ is a four tracker that reveals the both passion for rhythmical, forward-going and thinking synth-influenced soundstructures leaving a remarkable impression on the dance floor. ‘Mirach’, the EP’s opening track and already supported by several scene heavy-weights like Ame, closes the gap of tracks satisfying only one of the aforementioned. With the track being named after a star – Mirach, is a prominent star in the northern constellation of Andromeda – it shines brightly through the symbiosis of a well-arranged and driving bass line and the repetitive synth-patterns that spiral upwards.
